Also known as Yu Shan Dadajia Oolong Tea

This is found on the eastern face at the bottom of virgin forest 1850m about sea level. Right below the Yu-Shan National Park. The surrounding environment is well protected and wild. There is increased time for the leaves to be bathed in the sun and there are large differences in morning and evening temperatures. Often cloaked in mist, the tea’s natural fragrance combines with the high altitude air to produce a truly distinctive flavor. Delicate, elegant nose of citrus, wildflowers & forest. Delicious on the palate from the very first sip, going on to show incredible body and freshness. Sweet, long, aromatic aftertaste.
Award: 2018 Global Tea Championship Bronze Winner. 2019 Tea Masters Cup USA-Tea Brewing competition Gold & Silver Winner

http://www.jhentea.com/products-page/our-tea/alishan/

The AliShan mountain climate is ideal for the tea plants to grow slowly and produce tender leaves packed with flavor. The area in which these plantations are found on the southern part of the Central Mountain range has low temperatures and is humid and foggy. These conditions make it perfect for creating AliShan Oolong’s vivid personality, exotic flavors, and aromas.
The tea has a pale yellow color with a light orchid aroma. Incredibly clean and crisp, fresh moss, delicate florals with constant performance across steeps. Great balance between aromatic and phenolic maturity, finesse, and elegance.
Award: 2020 Toronto Tea Festival Gold Winner.

Freshly prepared tea leaves are place in airy dry conditions and left to ferment naturally. After many years, the enzymes in the leaves make the texture of tea rounded and mild with pleasing aroma, an endlessly generous, layered and complex expression of Vintage tea. Fine, well-integrated tannins and deep, rich flavours that linger... and linger...
